Drumming Sounds Training Outline

Join us for three days of rhythm, sacred space, sound medicine, and personal transformation. This immersive training is designed to empower participants with practical tools for facilitating drum circles, frame drum building workshops, sacred sound journeys, and wellness-based transformational experiences.

Friday, June 26, 2026

6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Opening Ceremony + Drumming Sounds Drum Circle Facilitation Training

We begin with an opening ceremony to set the tone for the weekend and create a strong foundation of connection, intention, and sacred space. From there, Andrew and Monica will introduce the Drumming Sounds evidence-based group drumming intervention, a protocol that has been shared in a wide range of settings including corporate wellness programs, healthcare environments, treatment centers, and community spaces.

This evening will include:

• Opening ceremony and intention setting
• Introduction to the Drumming Sounds facilitation approach
• Drum circle leadership foundations
• Group rhythm techniques
• Facilitation principles drawn from real-world experience
• An immersive community drum circle experience

Saturday, June 27, 2026

10am to 8 pm

Frame Drum Building Workshop + Sacred Space Facilitation

Saturday is a powerful day of creation, ceremony, and skill building. Participants will build their own frame drum while also learning principles that go beyond drum circle facilitation and into the broader art of leading sacred circles, transformational gatherings, and wellness-based experiences.

Topics and experiences include:

• Frame drum building workshop
• The spiritual and cultural significance of the drum
• Sacred space techniques
• Holding energy in group settings
• Facilitation tools for wellness programs, ceremonial gatherings, and spiritual circles
• Drum circle leadership principles that apply to many forms of transformational work

Saturday Evening

Sound Medicine Journey + Nervous System Reset

Saturday night we gather for a deeply restorative and transformational sound experience. Andrew and Monica will guide participants through a beautiful sound journey using:

• Gongs
• Chimes
• Tibetan singing bowls
• Native American flutes
• Chanting
• Sacred sound and vibration

This experience is designed to support relaxation, emotional release, nervous system regulation, and deep inner connection.

Sunday, June 28, 2026

3pm -9pm EMOTE, Sound Medicine, Movement, and Integration

Sunday we continue the journey by giving participants more tools for facilitation and personal transformation. One of the featured practices will be EMOTE — Energy Moving Out Through Expression. Participants will have the opportunity to use the frame drum they built on Saturday as a powerful tool for expression, release, and transformation.

Sunday’s training will include:

• Introduction to EMOTE
• Using rhythm for emotional expression and transformation
• Additional drum circle facilitation techniques
• Sound medicine tools and approaches
• Free-form movement practice
• Songs and chants
• Integration of rhythm, movement, sound, and sacred leadership
• Empowerment for your path as a facilitator

Participants will leave with greater confidence and inspiration to facilitate:

• Drum circles
• Frame drum building workshops
• Sacred sound medicine journeys
• Retreat experiences
• Wellness-based and spiritually grounded group programs

Special Sunday Appearance

Andrew and Monica will also be speaking at the Center for Spiritual Living on Sunday, June 28, 2026. You are invited to come and hear a powerful message of transformation and spiritual journey shared by Andrew.

About Andrew Ecker

Andrew Ecker is a speaker, author, teacher, and facilitator who has dedicated his life to transformation through rhythm, sound, recovery, and sacred leadership. He is the creator of the Drumming Sounds Protocol, an evidence-based approach that utilizes recreational music and sound to support wellness, mental health, connection, and personal growth.

Andrew is also the author of The Sacred 7, a framework rooted in identity, ancestry, belonging, and spiritual understanding. His work bridges ancient wisdom and contemporary wellness practices, helping people reconnect to purpose, expression, and the power of community. Over the years, he has facilitated and spoken in a wide range of settings including healthcare organizations, recovery communities, conferences, and corporate wellness programs.

About Monica Patton

Monica Patton is a trained HealthRhythms facilitator, accomplished artist, drum circle facilitator, and sound healer. She brings a deeply intuitive and heart-centered presence to her work, helping individuals and groups experience healing, connection, and transformation through rhythm, sacred sound, and ceremony.

Monica has extensive experience facilitating sound journeys, drum circles, and sacred creative experiences. Her gifts as an artist, ceremonial leader, and sound practitioner help create environments where people feel safe to open, express, and reconnect with themselves and one another. Her work is an essential part of the Drumming Sounds experience and the transformational space created in trainings and retreats.
